Valencia City of Arts and Science
Nothing can perpare you for the amazing site as you arrive at the City of Arts and Science in Valencia. This futuristic looking city, conceived by Santiago Calatrava, has over seven kilometres or paths around and through the architecture, all can be accessed for free. The only entrance charge is paid if you want to visit one or more of the attractions which include the Hemesferic, Planetarium, the Principe Felipe Science Museum, the Oceanarium and the Reina Sofia Arts Palace. The best time to photograph this architecture is at dusk or sunrise, although the light is so fascinating that any time of day could deliver interesting results. If you want perfect reflections in the water go on a calm day. Exposures are around one second at dusk, so take a tripod to ensure you get shake free shots. There are benches around the buildings where your camera could be rested if a tripod is not available.
